Just in case you thought it was fundamentally impossible to burn a boiled egg....

(Please, avert your eyes if you have a hair trigger gag reflex.)

Yes, folks I have managed to burn a boiled egg?! Until today, I didn't even know that this was possible.

Hey Dionne!

Found a link to you from Carrie's blog. So good to "hear your voice." Your little girls are adorable!

Don't feel bad about the egg. I did the same thing a couple months ago with an entire dozen. Yikes! The smell is pretty nasty, huh?

Julie, I'm glad that my burnt boiled egg could give you a chuckle. :)

Alison, Welcome! It's good to hear from you. There's lot's of catching-up to do. It's good to see that I am in good company though, and yes the smell is horrendous! I thought the smell of boiled eggs was bad....

As for Diane, do I detect a tinge of sarcasm....?!

How in the world?!?! Apparently this will not be a demo product on those infomercials where everyone yells out the catch phrase, "Set it and forget it!" Oh wait, did I just acknowledge that I've watched an infomercial?! Sad.

ha ha!! My kids saw these pictures and asked, "What IS that? Momma, you're not going to make US eat that, are you?!"

:) I had to explain that you probably didn't make your kids eat them, either.

Just did the same thing.
This is like the 4th time I've done it in the last 18 months.

I always forget about them - cuz I'm usually busy doing something else in another part of the house.

Man the smell! Thankfully it's beautiful out in DFW today, and all the windows are open and fans are on.

I did see some tips to get the scortched blackness out of your pot.
A. soak a dryer sheet in it overnight with water. will wipe clean next day.
B. use bar keepers friend.

I'll be trying both.
It's my DH's favorite pot!
